Eminem First Single 2013 [VIDEO]: 'Survival' Released For Anticipated New Album Debuts With 'Call Of Duty: Ghost' Preview
Eminem first single 2013: "Survival" is released as part of a promotion for "Call of Duty: Ghost."
Survival made its debut early Wednesday in the world premiere of Ghosts at a live, multi-player event broadcast worldwide. Afterward, Eminem appeared in a video with news that a Survival video is on the way, according to a report from USA Today. This makes it the first single of the 2013 album.
Eminem doesn't go back to his old-ways with this single. Instead, he picks up where he left off with "Recovery" in 2010. That album sold over 7.5 million copies worldwide. This first single, "Survival," could be the first of a few more coming out.
"This is survival of the fittest
This is do or die
This is the winner takes it all
So take it all," the hook of the track that played as the background for the Call of Duty video game promo. It's a four-minute preview that showed the latest installment of the video game franchise.
Eminem opens his first verse coming right out of the gate with aggressiveness.
"Wasn't ready to be no millionaire, I was ill-prepared
I was prepared to be ill though, the skill was there
From the beginning, it wasn't 'bout the ends
It was 'bout busting raps and standing for something, fuck an acronym
Cut the fucking act like you're happy, I'm fucking back again
With another anthem, why stop when it doesn't have to end?"
