Kendrick Lamar Control Verse Rap Beef Lyrics have incited a lot of controversy in the hip hop community and a big response.  Kendrick Lamar's Control verse rap beef is in the Big Sean song, which is 7 minutes long and also features Jay Electronica.

Kendrick Lamar calls people out by name in the lyrics, including Jermaine Cole, Big KRIT, Wale, Pusha T, Meek Millz, A$AP Rocky, Drake, Big Sean, Jay Electron', Tyler, and Mac Miller. 

Lamar says of his hip-hop compatriots: "I got love for you all but I'm tryna murder you niggas/ Tryna make sure your core fans never heard of you niggas/ They dont wanna hear not one more noun or verb from you niggas/ What is competition? I'm tryna raise the bar high/ Who tryna jump and get it? You better off tryna skydive."


Lamar has a lot to say about the current state of hip-hop music: "I've seen niggas transform like villain Decepticons/ Mollies'll prolly turn these niggas to fuckin' Lindsay Lohan/ A bunch of rich ass white girls lookin' for parties/ Playin with Barbies, wreck the Porsche before you give 'em the car key."

Kendrick Lamar's album Good Kid, m.A.A.d city has been a big hit in the hip-hop community.  Hit songs like Swimming Pools deal with deep issues, and Lamar generally eschews the materialistic trappings of bling rap.

There has been a big response to the Kendrick Lamar Control verse rap beef lyrics.  Joell Ortiz recorded a remix response song "Outta Control" that responded specifically to Lamar's claim that he was "The King of New York": "Homey, you ain't the king of New York, you're the next thing on my fork."  Ortiz also rapped "It was brave, you took a chance like a Monopoly Cards/Put that telly you tryin to check in boy, that property's ours/Can't get a W on Broadway, I'm New York all day."
