"Million Muslim March" To Be Held On Sept. 11th; Conservative Groups Freak Out- Despite Few Supporters Of Fringe Group's 9/11 Washington D.C. March Plan

A "Million Muslim March" will be held in Washington, DC on the 12th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks...and conservative media outlets are freaking out about it.

The event has been planned and organized since, oh, January, and only has about ten to fifty supporters, but conservative media is still having a bit of a hissy fit over the "Million Muslim March". [WATCH VIDEO BELOW]

On "Hannity" Monday night, Dr. Zuhdi Jasser, an anti-radical Muslim scholar, called an organizer of the march, Chris Phillips, "a stooge and a frontman". See the segment below.

Fox News broke through coverage of the violence in Egypt, which has killed over 600 people, to give viewers an "alert" of the event, despite the fact that at the time, a Facebook page for the "Million Muslim March" showed less than 10 people planning to attend.

The "Million Muslim March"is being organized by the American Muslim Political Action Committee (AMPAC). The group is a controversial fringe group, led by M.D. Rabbi Alam. Alam is a proponent of anti-Semitic conspiracy theories about 9/11 and calls himself a "9/11 truther". He also ran for Missouri's secretary of state last year; his group has made several controversial moves to attract national attention.

Corey Saylor, who is the spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, to told press that CAIR would not support the event.

Organizers of the "Million Muslim March" said that their event is valid because "Muslim[s] and Non Muslim[s] alike were traumatized" on Sept. 11, 2001.

The march will address civil rights, indefinite detention in places such as Guantanamo, and "slanderous" statements about Islam, AMPAC says. They've gotten backing from other "truther" groups and a tea party organization, but no mainstream Muslim groups.

The "Million Muslim March" will take place on the anniversary of 9/11...but it's not yet known whether many people-much less a million-will actually show up.
