Legend Of Korra News Trolling Upsets Book 2 Fans: Updates On Book 3 Production

During the brief hiatus between now and "The Legend of Korra" Book 2 premiere September 13, The Legend of Korra Online has pointed out the trend of title trolling by certain online publications.

The Legend of Korra Online is a fan-dedicated blog that updates on the latest news on Book 2, often unveiling speculation and news that other sources use.

Recently, the founder of the blog has singled out iDigitalTimes as a publication that frequently titles the article to gain traffic, when the article body has nothing to do with the title.

"Before Nickelodeon announced Book 2's release date, iDigitalTimes titled all of their Book 2-related articles starting with 'Legend of Korra Book 2 Release Date...'" writes Keval on the blog.

"It was at the top of the Google Search results, so anyone searching for 'The Legend of Korra' was naturally inclined to click it. Guess what these readers never found? A release date - because it never existed at the time."

The practice of misleading titles to gain traffic is quite common in online journalism, and The Legend of Korra Online notes how particularly susceptible "The Legend of Korra" is to that practice with so much hype around Book 2.

In addition, "The Legend of Korra" co-creators hosted a panel recently, and during the Q&A, they touched on the progress of Book 3, as well as other interesting tidbits about the series.

"Lin's Dad is just a mystery to me," teased Michael DiMartino regarding the identity of Lin's father and Toph supposed lover. "We've got great stuff planned for Lin and her family. It's not right away, so don't be mad if it doesn't happen right away."

"Book 2, for the Lin fans...she's not very heavily featured in Book 2, BUT, very heavily featured in Book 3," continued Bryan Konietzko.

During this Q&A, the status of Book 3 production was also touched on, in part due to the long hiatus between Book 1 and 2.

"We're actually already, like, very very far into Book 3. It's all written, recorded, it's all being animated. We're designing it right now...we're even working on Book 4," revealed Bryan Konietzko.
