Eminem New Album 2013: Death Hoax Scares Fans Shortly After False Report Says Detroit Rapper Was Stabbed In NYC [VIDEO]

Eminem new album 2013: False alarms that the Detroit rapper had died from stab wounds prior to the release of his eighth-studio album that is set to release this fall.

A false report said Eminem was "left for dead," according to pagebin.com. With a new album in the works, 2013 was believed to be the end of the Marshall Mathers, permanently. It said he was stabbed four times in NYC and a picture was provided with him on a hospital bed, including the wounds.

Eminem's rep told E! News that it was a hoax and indeed the artist behind the new track, "Survival," is indeed alive and well. His death could have been real at one point, but the 2013 new album is hopeful of a fall-release, possibly in September.

In reality, Eminem was lucky to be alive after his addiction to pills nearly killed him in 2005. He entered rehab when he was taken nearly 10 to 20 Vicodin a day.

"Had I got to the hospital about two hours later, I would have died," Eminem said. "My organs were shutting down. My liver, kidneys, everything. They were gonna have to put me on dialysis, they didn't think I was gonna make it," Eminem said in the "How to Make Money Selling Drugs" documentary.

Just like other abusers and addicts, he shrugged it off when friends approached him about his problem. 'Get that f**king person outta here, I can't believe they said that sh*t to me,'" Eminem recalled. "'They don't know nothing about my fu**ing life, are they out of their f**king mind? I'm not out there shooting heroin, I'm not out there putting coke up my nose, I'm not smoking crack' ... I literally thought I could control it."
