Bank Of America Intern Dies In London While Nearing End Of Seven-Week Program: Rumors Of Working Too Much Before Found Dead Surfacing

Bank of America intern dies in London Thursday after he was found unconscious at a property in the area with a cause not yet released.

Moritz Erhardt, a 21-year-old student dies while he was an intern at the Bank of America London office whose death is being treated as non-suspicious, according to the Metropolitan Police.

The Bank of America said in a statement that they were "shocked and saddened" by Erhardt's death. He was in the midst of a seven-week internship with the bank. It was set to end this week. Rumors have surfaced online whether or not he worked consecutive nights before his death. No response from the bank has spoke publicly about the matter.

"He was popular amongst his peers and was a highly diligent intern at our company with a promising future," Bank of America spokesman John McIvor said in a statement. "Our first thoughts are with his family and we send our condolences to them at this difficult time."

The Otto Beisheim School of Management is a German business school Where Erhardt had attended. The school posted a statement on its website mourning his death.

"At the moment, we do not yet know the details," the school said. "Moritz was a wonderful person and a dedicated student."
