Music mogul Simon Cowell seems to be very excited with the birth of his baby with socialite Lauren Silverman that he is willing to spend $26,500 a month for a luxury apartment at Park Avenue and East 87th Street. This apartment is believed to help Silverman start a new life in the city after reaching a divorce settlement with former husband Andrew Silverman.
The pregnancy of Silverman surprised a lot since her ex-hubby used to be Cowell's best friend. They were even regular guests in Cowell's yacht trips.
Reports say that the socialite received a little over $2 million in the divorce settlement. A joint custody for the 7-year-old son Adam has been agreed upon.
Now that the divorce proceedings are nearly over, the top TV personality has already started planning for the future. A source formerly said: "I have never seen Simon so excited. Becoming a father has put things into perspective for him."
While the first time daddy is eager to start a new life, the neighbors are not thrilled because of the media attention. They prefer to have a neighborhood that's free from paparazzi.
Apart from renting a posh apartment for his expecting lover, the 53-year-old celebrity is similarly keen on purchasing a house in the Hamptons, one of New York's most exclusive areas.
