Patrick Dempsey Celebrates Grey's Anatomy 200th Episode [PHOTOS]: Contract Negotiations Still In The Air After Sandra Oh Exit

As "Grey's Anatomy" season 10 begins filming the 200th episode of the series, Patrick Dempsey is taking the time to show his support, despite lingering rumors on his potential exit.

Since the "Grey's Anatomy" 200th episode began filming, Twitter has exploded with its cast, crew, and writers commemorating the landmark.

Patrick Dempsey, it seems, is all smiles despite voicing his ambivalence about acting and his day job.

Patrick Dempsey recently gave an interview regarding racing and his acting job, and the actor seems less than enthused about season10.

On his upcoming four-part series about car racing premiering August 28 on Velocity, Dempsey says he's "I've loved [racing] since I was a kid. You're really testing yourself. You're going into your own fears and anxieties, and you have to test yourself physically and mentally."

But what about playing Derek Shepherd on "Grey's Anatomy" up to the 200th episode?

"I'm not necessarily bored with the show, [and I'm] very grateful that I have a show that's been on for 10 years," says the actor according to Times-Call.

But for Dempsey, acting is "a trade."

"I'm not the creator. I'm not the writer... When you're on a show that's been on for, we're coming up to 200 episodes, it's about surviving. And you find ways to turn yourself on with the material that you're given. But it's like being in a band. You have a specific note that you play, and that's what you do. So you just try to play that as well as you can."

Currently, all of the original cast for "Grey's Anatomy" will go through contract negotiations at the end of the season. This includes Patrick Dempsey.

With Sandra Oh being the first to announce her exit, will Patrick Dempsey follow suit?
