Scarlet Witch: ‘Avengers 2’ Cast Negotiations With Elizabeth Olsen, To Play Sister Of Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Quicksilver?

Scarlet Witch in "Avengers 2," also known as "Age of Ultron," may be played by Elizabeth Olsen, where she would be cast alongside her character's brother, Quicksilver, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Olsen is reportedly in negotiations to play Scarlet Witch.

Rumors are circulating that Elizabeth Olsen is director Joss Whedon's top pick to play Scarlet Witch in "Avengers 2," and that she is currently in negotiations to join the cast of the movie.

Olsen's potential casting was first reported by Bleeding Cool, The Wrap reports, which noted that she was offered the role after Whedon's first choice, Saoirse Ronan, passed.

This would make Olsen the second main female actress in the cast of "Avengers: Age of Ultron," joining Scarlett Johansson, who plays Black Widow.

Elizabeth Olsen is the younger sister of stars Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, MTV reports.

The Wrap reports that this isn't the first time Olsen has been linked to a superhero movie. She was once rumored for the role of Sue Storm in Fox's "Fantastic Four."

According to the website, Scarlet Witch is the daughter of "X-Men" villain Magneto. Olsen's potential character has several superpowers, including the ability to reshape reality, The Wrap reports. She wears a cape but her red tights aren't expected to make it from the comicbook to the bigscreen, the website notes.

Olsen might have to take on an English accent in order to fit the role from the comicbook, an insider told The Wrap.

Elizabeth has not commented on whether or not negotiations are taking place.

"Avengers: Age of Ultron" hits theaters in 2015.
