Nokia Windows Phone 2013: Finnish Company Set To Unveil More Than One Phablet Next Month

According to Reuters' sources, Nokia is gearing for the announcement of several Windows powered phablets next month.

The report said the announcement would possibly be made in New York before the end of September, a move that would again ignite competition with perennial favorites Apple and Samsung.

While the sources did not comment on the specifications of the devices, they hinted that the release may include a phablet (with more than 5-inch screens), and tablet according to other technology blog sites.

In the past year, Nokia has slowly regained composure in the smartphone market, with sales increasing by 32 percent most of it coming from the Lumia lineup.

However, some experts believe it may not be enough to regain the mobile phone throne, at least right now. Nokia has entirely banked its operations (and fate) on Microsoft's Windows OS, which has also been performing blandly.

This year, Windows only accounted for only 3 percent of the mobile market share while Google's Android has easily won over 90 percent of sales.

It's just not clear for most tech bloggers and experts why Nokia, which in itself has great potential, keeps on producing Windows powered phones. This September, we will find out if the move continues to give them a fighting chance.
