After "Blurred Lines" artist Robin Thicke went to court to get a preemptive order to block Marvin Gaye's family from suing, the late legend's son suspects guilt.

Marvin Gaye III sat down with TMZ recently for an exclusive interview pertaining to Thicke's request to prevent his family from issuing a lawsuit to get any credit over "Blurred Lines."

Marvin III expressed his confusion on why Thicke would seek a preemptive lawsuit if the singer is confident that he wasn't inspired by Marvin Gaye's "Got To Give It Up" in the making of "Blurred Lines."

"What would he want to be protected from if he didn't do anything?" asked the son of one of Motown's greatest.

Marvin III stressed his disappointment in Thicke's lack of professionalism.

"What are point is, there's a way to do business and a way not to do business and we're not happy with the way he went about doing business," he said. "Let alone suing us over something he clearly got inspiration from at the least."

Marvin Gaye's son is going even further by blaming Thicke for building a care based off copying his father's style.

"If you listen to the music you will see the similarities clearly between what my father does and what Robin Thicke is trying to do," said Marvin III.

He might have a point because Thicke's "Million Dollar Baby" sounds quite like Marvin Gaye's "Trouble Man."

Despite dealing with a sickness and music career, Marvin III is going to remain fighting for what his dad worked for.

"I'm under kidney failure as well as I'm promoting my own album. I have better things to do than to be sitting her and defending my father's legacy which I'm glad to do because that's my position," he said. "My counsel is in the process of taking care of business."
