Jenna Wolfe And Girlfriend Stephanie Gosk Welcome Baby Girl, Post Twitter Picture To Offer Fans First Look; ‘We Couldn't Be Happier,’ ‘Today’ Anchor Says [PHOTOS]
Jenna Wolfe and her girlfriend Stephanie Gosk welcomed a baby girl on Wednesday, August 21. Wolfe, a "Today" show anchor, gave birth to Harper Estelle Wolfeld Gosk and posted a picture on her Twitter account to give fans a first look at their baby daughter.
Gosk, an NBC News correspondent, posted the first picture of Harper on Twitter, which featured Wolfe kissing the newborn's head, Us Weekly reports.
"First pic. We couldn't be happier," Gosk captioned the sweet shot. "Thanks for all the great messages."
Wolfe posted a photo on her own Twitter account yesterday, of her locking eyes with the tiny Harper, in a black-and-white filter.
She captioned the picture: "Fell in love the moment I met you."
Jenna gave birth to baby Harper at 7:31 p.m. on Aug. 21. She weighed in at 7 pounds, 13 ounces, Us Weekly reports.
Wolfe previously revealed that it was no easy task figuring out who would carry the baby between her and Gosk, E! News reports.
"We rock-paper,-scissored it. I won 34-31, so I'm carrying the baby, bam," Wolfe told E! News in an exclusive interview after revealing that she was five months' pregnant with a baby girl.
Just prior to going into labor, Wolfe wrote a blog post talking about her fears of becoming a new mother.
"While I was terrified of the whole birthing process, now I'm sort of terrified of life AFTER birth," she wrote. "What happens in that first minute we walk through the front door of our apartment? How do we know what to do? Does she come with an instruction manual? When does she eat? When does she need a diaper change? How about a bath? Long sleeves? Onesie? Does she sleep in the crib or the bassinet? Is this diaper on backwards?"
Harper is named after Jenna's grandmother. "No matter what we were always going to have Estelle in the name," she said, TODAY reports.
She also noted that she and Stephanie "fell in love" with the name Harper. "It's the perfect combination of athleticism, and gentleness, and kindness, and beauty and a little TV moxie," Jenna said.
