‘How I Met Your Mother’ Season 9 Spoilers: Mother’s Name Revealed, And Slap Bet Dealt To Barney Before Wedding?

"How I Met Your Mother" season 9 is the last season for the series, and there are a few things that must be revealed to finish up the finale, such as the mother's name, and finishing off the slap bet.

Hypable.com speculates that we will know the mother's name this season. The only things viewers know about the mother in "How I Met Your Mother" so far is that she plays guitar, paints pictures of robots playing sports, and carries a yellow umbrella, Hypable.com reports.

In the season finale of season 8 of "How I Met Your Mother," a big spoiler was revealed: the identity of the highly-anticipated character of the mother in the series, played by actress Cristin Milioti.

It was announced that Milioti will not only appear again in season 9, but that she will be a series regular. The audience will get to know the mother, and for this reason Hypable's speculation that we will learn her name is a valid assumption.

Another thing that will have to be revealed to wrap up the series is the slap bet. As Hypable reports, early on in the show, Barney and Marshall made a bet about Robin's past, and when Marshall won, he was able to slap Barney five times over an undetermined amount of time. Marshall was later rewarded more slaps once Barney lost another bet, the website notes.

When season 9 premieres on September 23, 2013, Marshall will have two slaps remaining. We only hope that Marshall will be able to complete his slap bet before the end of "How I Met Your Mother." Season 9 will take place during the wedding weekend, so we can assume that the slaps will be dealt sometime before Barney's wedding to Robin.
