Glee Season 5 Tribute Episode Titled 'The Quarterback': Lea Michele Honors Cory Monteith With Finn Necklace, Phoebe Strole Joins Cast

As "Glee" season 5 continues filming before its hiatus, more updates have arrived regarding the Cory Monteith, Finn tribute episode and the future of the series.

For the highly anticipated tribute episode, the title has been revealed to be "The Quarterback," according to IB Times.

In addition, the "Glee" season 5 premiere will be titled "Love, Love, Love," while episode 2 will be called "Tina in the Sky With Diamonds." Both episodes will be Beatles tribute episodes.

But for "The Quarterback," Lea Michele will be paying her own small tribute by wearing a Finn necklace.

First uploaded on Twitter, Lea Michele has been keeping her spirits high, even as filming for the tribute episode appears to be starting soon, as the script is already finished.

At first, Ryan Murphy thought of writing the tribute episode to reflect the drug addiction problem Cory Monteith faced in real life, but later decided against it.

"Basically, what we're doing in the episode is we are not telling you yet, or maybe not at all, how that character died," says Ryan Murphy.

"The idea being, how somebody died is interesting and maybe morbid, but we say very early on in the episode, 'This episode is about a celebration of that character's life.' That might be weird for some people, but it felt really exploitative to do it any other way."

And joining "Glee" season 5, presumably, after the tribute episode, will Lea Michele's close friend Phoebe Strole, who will reportedly play Sam's love interest.

According to Deadline, Phoebe Strole will play recurring character Penny Owen, "a sophomore in college who wants to get into nursing school and who becomes Sam's new love interest."
