Does Rihanna have a new boyfriend? Rihanna and Drake dating rumors are back after the two left a MTV VMA after party at PH-D Rooftop Lounge minutes apart.  Rihanna and Drake also had a pre-show dinner together, which sounds like it could be a romantic date. 

It looks like Rihanna has a very nice gentlemanly boyfriend if Drake and Rihanna are dating, because witnesses complimented his behavior, a far cry from Rihanna's time with Chris Brown.  Rihanna and Drake were spotted having dinner at the Sons of Essex restaurant.  A source told Hollywood Life: "He gave her a hug and kissed her on the cheek.  It wasn't nothing major, it was just Drake being himself."

Another source said: "He was such a gentleman.  He had one of his muscle [bodyguards] scoot her chair back, he stood up after she did and he told her she 'looked beautiful as always.'"

Rumors about Rihanna's boyfriend and Rihanna and Drake dating rumors have been around since earlier this summer.   An insider told HollywoodLife: "[Drake's been] waiting patiently on the sidelines. Just over a month ago, Drake gave Rihanna an ultimatum. He told her he needed to move on if she wasn't going to commit. His love life was paused when Chris and Rihanna reunited, and Drake claims it caused him stress headaches, writer's block and anxiety. He was obviously sick of it, but Rihanna wasn't ready for him. Now Chris and Rihanna are done for good, Drake might finally get his chance."

Another source put it more bluntly: "He wasn't trying to be all up in the mix while she was figuring s**t out with Chris and going through his bulls***," a source said. "He was nice, gave [Rihanna] her space and the time she needed to do her and figure out her relationship or whatever the f*** she was calling it this last time with [Chris]."

Another source told Look magazine about Rihanna's boyfriends and dating choice between Drake and Chris Brown: "When she was dating Chris, he [asked her not to talk] to Drake. She really missed him in that time - yes, they went out years before but he was also a good friend to her - so calling him was one of the first things she did when she realized she was over Chris."
