Stallone And Schwarzenegger ‘Escape Plan’ Is Not an ‘Expendables’ Sequel: Less Guns, More Punches

Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger are reunited on the Big screen again..but this time, it's not for another 'Expendables' movie. It's 'Escape Plan,' a new thriller to showcase the action icons hand-to-hand combat skills.

Stallone and Schwarzenegger are both on the wrong side of 60, but they are, by no means a pair of geezers with guns. In "Escape Plan" we get to see more punches, rumbles and escape stunts. This will truly highlight the insane level of fitness that these superstars maintain. They still can definitely hack it.

The movie is about a structural security expert, played by Stallone, who works with prison systems and devises-you guessed it, 'escape plans.' Eventually, his goal is to fortify that prison so it will become escape proof.

The twist in the story happens when Stallone's character gets trapped within a prison that he designed. He needs the help of an inmate (Schwarzenegger) to plot and execute an escape plan.

Once you get past the Stallone and Schwarzenegger team-up, it's obvious that this is not an 'Expendables' sequel. Since the setting is inside a prison, there aren't any guns or spectacular explosions. The actors show more of their physical skills this time around. The list of action superstars, past and present is also much shorter than the Expendables franchise. In fact, there's just Stallone and Schwarzenegger.

Despite the lack of firepower, the movie still packs a mean punch. The thrilling escape is something fans will look forward to, and the prospect of Rocky/Rambo and T-100/Commando taking on an entire prison is hard to pass up.
