The concept was brought to the show by British actor Stephen Merchant. He said on the show Tuesday night that him and his friends play this game involving lip syncing. So he brought it to Jimmy Fallon while Joseph Gordon-Levitt played along as well.

All three men would get the chance to lip-sync twice. The crowd loved it as Stephen Merchant went first in both rounds. Stephen Merchant went before Jimmy Fallon with Beyonce's "Single Ladies" after he started the contest off with "Boom Shake the Room" by Fresh Prince and DJ Jazzy Jeff.

Fallon tried his best with "Take On Me" and "Don't you want Me." When it was time for Joseph Gordon-Levitt, he fake-sung his way with Elton John's "Tiny Dancer" and showed off his rap skills with Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass.
