Melissa Joan Hart Drug Use Detailed In New Tell All Autobiography [VIDEO]; 'Melissa Explains It All' Reveals Celebrity Hookups; Does Pressure Of Child Stardom Cause Drug Use?

In her new autobiography Melissa Explains It All, Melissa Joan Hart admits drug use: "I experimented with weed, ecstasy, mushrooms and mescaline for about a year and a half"  She was even high on ecstasy when she shot her famous Maxim cover.
While she has been married since 2003, prior to her marriage Melissa Joan Hart was involved in some steamy celebrity hookups, including Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys.  She hooked up with another girl on her way from the Playboy Mansion to her Maxim cover shoot,
Melissa Joan Hart explains that her drug use never spiraled into drug addiction because it just wasn't her thing: "I was kind of running with a bad crowd.  I just didn't enjoy taking drugs. I don't like the loss of control."

According to Life and Style magazine, Melissa Joan Hart even claims that Paris Hilton once offered her cocaine - but she turned Paris down.
Melissa Joan Hart had a squeaky clean image in her TV shows Clarissa Explains it All and Sabrina the Teenage Witch.  Child and teen stars sometimes engage in drug use despite their clean images.  Lately even Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus has been making headlines for Molly MDMA references and Purple Drank.  Lindsay Lohan has struggled with drug use as she transitioned from child star to adult starlet.  Amanda Bynes has been known for smoking weed.  There are also tragic tales, such as the one of Dana Plato.
Child stars deal with a lot of pressure to work during years when many of their peers are just having fun.  Drug use could be a release from that kind of pressure.  
Luckily for Melissa Joan Hart, her drug use was experimental and didn't affect her career or her life.  She is now married with three children!
