Google Nexus 5 Release Date: New Flagship Handset Will Be Made By LG Leaked Photo Reveals, Expected To Be Launched Oct. 14 With KitKat Release

Google Nexus 5 release date on October 14 will unveil the new flagship handset by the tech giant, based on a recently leaked photo is made by its Nexus 4 partner, LG. Many are expecting that the Nexus 5 device will be released on October 14, the day being Google’s last big launch date for the year 2013.

A report from Android-focused blog, Ausroid, said that the date and speculations came from a tip they’ve received and it noted that it should be taken with a grain of salt. But based on a history of rumored release dates in the past, once a date of launch floats in the news, the actual time of a device or software is released is only a few days earlier or after. Many have been on point.

According to Business Insider, leaked photos by gadget-leaker EVLeaks of the next smartphone from Google are already on a viral spread in various review sites and consumer tech blogs. The photos are reportedly said to have come from the FCC with Phonescoop being the first to show them off. Another leaked photo shows that an LG device that was left by an alleged Google employee during the Android 4.4 KitKat launch.

Steve Kovach of Business Insider reported that the phone will be manufactured by LG and is scheduled to appear somewhere this fall which is the usual launching time for Google as seen with its Nexus flagship phones. From what can be seen in the leaked photos, the phone will follow suit of the recent G2 from LG.

Business Insider reported that the Nexus 5 will most probably be sold unlocked just like the previous Google phones and will come at a very reasonable price tag like the current Nexus 4 that is already retailing for just under $200. This is $300 less than what you would expect to pay for an unlocked smartphone today.

After a bit of testing by Business Insider, the website states that the LG G2 is already looking like one of the best in the market in terms of screens available on a smartphone. There is practically no bezel and the screen is of a generous size and bright. If the LG G2 is anything to go by with what to expect from the Nexus 5, the soon to be launched smartphone will be a groundbreaker.
