Nexus 5 Release Date: LG-Built Google’s Upcoming Smartphone Arriving On October 14 Sporting Adreno 330 GPU And Android 4.4 KitKat?

Nexus 5 release date seems to be already on the horizon as more rumors about it pop up online.

A post from IB Times noted that the Nexus 5 release date may happen any day starting October 15 until October 31, alongside other upcoming products from Google, such as its newest mobile operating system the Android 4.4 KitKat.

However, on a separate report from the site, a more specific Nexus 5 release date was mentioned. The post suggested that the LG-manufactured Nexus 5 release date may most likely be set for October 14, the same launch day for the Nexus 10 tablet and the KitKat OS.

If this Nexus 5 release date on October 14 will pan out, Google may have a one-day launch advantage over Apple, which, allegedly, is set to unveil its newest tablet devices on the 15th, particularly, the iPad 5 and the iPad Mini 2. Moreover, if Nexus 5 release date will happen on October 14, tech enthusiasts can expect the device to be available on late October to early November, as reported by Gotta Be Mobile.

Aside from news about Nexus 5 release date, Android fans are also excited about the updates and key features that the next-generation smartphone will offer. It is reported that the Nexus 5 will sport a very powerful graphics engine, the  Adreno 330 GPU.

Moreover, the upcoming Google smartphone is expected to feature specs such as 5-inch IPS LCD screen with 1080p display resolution, a quad-core 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 800 CPU, 2700 mAh battery, 13MP rear camera and 3GB RAM. Nexus 5 is also reported to come out of the box with Google's newest mobile OS, the Android 4.4. KitKat.

All these news and rumors about Nexus 5 release date and specs remain unofficial and should still be taken with a grain of salt, as Google is yet to make official announcement regarding its upcoming devices.
