Team USA Begins 2013 World Gymnastics Championship Podium Training [VIDEOS]: Kyla Ross, McKayla Maroney, Sam Mikulak, And More!

Team USA has landed in Antwerp, Belgium for the 2013 World Gymnastics Championships, and reports as well as videos are already rolling in regarding podium training.

For the Women's USA gymnastics teams, Kyla Ross, McKayla Maroney, Brenna Dowell, and Simone Biles are working hard on vault, beam, floor, and uneven bars.

According to Gymnastics Examiner Blythe Lawrence who is in Antwerp tracking the event, here are some quick hits regarding these ladies during the 2013 World Gymnastics Championships podium training.

--McKayla Maroney and Brenna Dowell appear to be fighting to potentially appear on bars and beam. They have similar difficulty and are proficient, but lack the obvious difficulty of some competitors.

--Kyla Ross has not upgraded her vault, and until videos surface, it is unknown if she has upgraded her bars or beam at all. She has potential to medal in the all-around, but her lack of difficulty will make it an uphill battle.

--Dowell, Biles, and McKayla are all training Amanars!

While Kyla Ross and Simone Biles are expected to compete in the all-around, things are less certain for the event finals. As each country can send two competing gymnasts, the combination for each event (especially beam and uneven bars) will likely be decided at the last minute.

And today, the men from Team USA are doing their podium for the 2013 World Gymnastics Championships, and USA Gymnastics has even uploaded podium training videos of the newest national champion, Sam Mikulak.
