Tim Tebow News Update 2013: Gene Simmons Shows Support To NFL Free Agent, Mormon Baseball Player Says ‘Won’t Be Tim Tebow’ In Field

Tim Tebow has come under fire from all types of media for his staunch Christian beliefs reports news News.Radio.com. News Radio carried out an interview to find out what Gene Simmons thinks about all this and Washington Nationals outfield Bryce Harper, a devout Mormon, says he won’t advocate his faith like Tim Tebow.

“If somebody asks me about it, I’ll tell them about it, but I’m not going to be Mr. Tim Tebow,” Bryce Harper told the Washington Times when asked about the issue. The baseball players takes a more subtle approach in spreading his faith.

According to News Radio, Gene Simmons believes that he has the right to keep his religious passions as everybody else in America without having to come under media criticism. The KISS lead member stated that there should be nothing wrong with any American being proud of their religion Christian, Muslim or otherwise. The media did not attack Micheal Vick who tortured dogs or a superstar who allegedly killed half as much as they have gone in on Tim Tebow. Simmons stated that Tim is cool in his books.

News Radio reported that the KISS leader and his bandmate Paul Stanley have heavily invested into a new Arena Football League Team that they intend to name LA KISS. The team which would be starting off in 2014 and according to Gene, Tim Tebow is very welcome to play in it if he chooses to since he was let-go by the New England Patriots a month ago. Despite this open invitation, Gene went on further to add that Tim had not contacted them yet.

According to News Radio, Gene Simmons admitted that he had never really been big on football. KISS has only performed once at Super Bowl back in 1999. It therefore came as a surprise to many Gene fans that he was venturing into football. Gene however maintains that it is purely a business venture for him as visually, football has never appealed to the mega star.

News Radio also took the opportunity to inquire as to whether the LA KISS would have some conspicuous variations to their team uniform keeping in theme with the KISS band’s famous attire. Gene promptly replied that they would definitely be sticking to the AFL regulations just like every other Arena Football Team. Paul is already in the design phase with outfitters but it has not been decided which particular uniform they will be going with or if they will be sticking to one at all.
