Robert Pattinson has a new girlfriend Dylan Penn?  Is he finally getting over his breakup with fellow Twilight star Kristen Stewart?

Dylan Penn is a gorgeous, 5'7" blonde with blue green eyes and a famous pedigree - she is the daughter of Sean Penn and Robin Wright.  So it's not hard to see what Robert Pattinson might like about his new girlfriend.

Robert Pattinson and Dylan Penn have been seen out in public together at some of Robert's favorite haunts, including The Viper Room and the Chateau Marmont.  According to witnesses, they were getting "hot and heavy" - and Rob was "getting behind her and kissing her neck".

According to a source for Hollywood Life who saw Robert Pattison and Dylan Penn together, "He was very affectionate with her and they seemed comfortable."

Robert Pattinson seems to be moving on from his recent checkered romantic history, which includes a brief fling with Riley Keough and his drawn out break up with fellow Twilight star Kristen Stewart.

However, Dylan Penn has a pretty protective father - movie star actor Sean Penn!  Robert Pattinson better be serious about girlfriend Dylan Penn, because her father Sean Penn doesn't want her to be hurt - and he gave Rob some pointed advice: "Rob and Dylan get on well and really fancy one another. It's obvious Dylan is smitten," a source told Metro. "But Sean had a chat with Rob recently. Sean knows what it's like to be a young, successful actor and the beautiful women that come with it."

"Sean gave his piece about not getting too heavy with his daughter if he's playing the field, as he doesn't want to see her hurt."
