Kate Upton and her boyfriend Maksim Chmerkovskiy finally went public with their relationship last week, when they held hands through New York City's West Village neighborhood on Thursday. Is Kate Upton apartment hunting in NYC, so she can be closer to boyfriend Maksim Chmerkovskiy?

Kate Upton is reportedly staying at a hotel in midtown while apartment hunting in the Flatiron District near her IMG modeling agency headquarters, New York Daily news reports.

She was recently spied checking out a condo at 21st St. and Broadway.

Upton lives near her family in Florida, but her new relationship with boyfriend Maksim Chmerkovskiy seems to be getting more serious, and Upton wants to spend more time with Maksim, who lives near Fort Lee, New Jersey.

"They're getting closer, but there's been no talk of marriage," an insider told New York Daily News.

Despite Upton wanting to be closer to her boyfriend, the insider says they have no plans of living together just yet.

Flatiron is already home to a number of models, including Stephanie Seymour and Paulina Porizkova, according to brokers, New York Daily News reports.

The two-time Sports Illustrated cover model, 21, and former "Dancing with the Stars" pro, 33, were photographed looking relaxed and happy as they held hands and linked arms through the streets of New York.

Kate and Maksim have been dating since June, when they met through mutual friends, and were spotted together over the summer in the Hamptons, where Upton was filming "The Other Woman."

Maksim also took Kate out for a romantic 21st birthday dinner, New York Daily News reports. They tried to avoid paparazzi, walking out separately, but were spotted getting into the same car together.
