'Real Housewives Of New Jersey' Star Joe Gorga Thinks Women 'Want To Be Dominated' & And His Wife Melissa Is Going To 'Stand By'

After it was outed that "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Joe Gorga's secret to a successful marriage is dominating his wife during sex, Melissa Gorga is defending her husband.




All the controversy stemmed from a remark Joe made in Melissa's advice book "Love Italian Style."




"Men, I know you think your woman isn't the type who wants to be taken. But trust me, she is. Every girl wants to get her hair pulled once in a while," Joe said in the book. "If your wife says "no," turn her around, and rip her clothes off. She wants to be dominated. Women don't realize how easy men are. Just give us what we want."




His wife tired to defend his comments while talking to E! News.




"I think if you just read the one line that Joe said you might take it the wrong way," she said. "But continue to read and you'll see where it belongs."




Additionally, Melissa said she had no regrets and fully backs the advice she gave on how to keep a marriage on the up and up.




"I stand by what I said," she said. "I truly believe in everything I said in it."




The domination talk in the book doesn't stop with Joe's remarks.




It goes further with a guideline on how to "behave in order to keep her man happy."




One example, is Melissa explaining how her and her husband must have "maintenance sex."




"There's real passionate sex and maintenance sex. You need them both for a healthy marriage," the book reads. "Maintenance sex keeps the wheels greased, the lines of communication open, and the fights to a minimum."
