Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini Update: Android Compact Handset Now Supports Milk Music; App Update Brings Improved Quality In Sound, Bug Fixes

Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini update: The Android compact handset Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini now supports Milk Music after the app was updated to expand compatibility to more Samsung devices.

The app received an update Wednesday that added the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini to the list of Samsung devices it now supports. The app update improved the quality of sound and also brings bug fixes and the stability improvements.

The new update for the Milk Music app should be available at the Google Play Store under My Apps.

According to Phone Arena, Samsung’s Milk Music app was launched in March as a free ad supported streaming music service for the Samsung Galaxy S3, Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Galaxy Note 2, Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Samsung Galaxy Mega and Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini. It’s expected that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime will also have the Milk Music app.

Android Police notes that for users already streaming with Milk, there should be an audible improvement in the quality of tunes. The issue has been a sticking point for Artem, the site says, thus Samsung may have made the move to appease it.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini is the compact version of the former flagship Samsung Galaxy S3.

A spec sheet by Phone Arena shows the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini as having all the unique features that comes with the original S3, including TouchWiz and S-Voice assistant, SmartStay that shuts off the screen when you’re not looking at it and S-Beam with tap to share for songs and files as big as 10MB.

The gadget-focused site notes that Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini has a 1GHz dual-core processor, 5MP camera and a 16GB internal storage that could be up to 32GB. Connectivity options for the device include Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0, microUSB and 802.11 ac Wi-Fi. The unit was officially released Oct. 2012 and is still in the window 18-month window for updates for Android.
