‘Deadpool’ Movie: Hugh Jackman Wants Logan To Face-Off With The Merc With A Mouth! Ryan Reynolds Irked By Delays! ‘If It Was Up To Me, It Would’ve Been Done Already!’

There is another strong vote for the "Deadpool" movie. It comes from no other than the X-Men's undisputed star, Wolverine. Hugh Jackman wants the movie and he's willing to face off with the Merc with a mouth!

A report from Schmoes Know based on an online survey of their readers confirms the previous reports that Deadpool is indeed the fans' choice to appear on screen.

"Everyone is talking about trying to find new "poster boys" for their X-Men films once Hugh Jackman eventually steps back from the role of Wolverine, there has been one character that fans have been clamoring for to get his own movie. Whether it be Gambit or Nightcrawler, no other character in the Marvel Universe matches up to the desire that fans want for this character to have his own film."

But Hugh Jackman has backpedaled from 'stepping back.' That won't be a problem as he's willing to cross paths with the hotly demanded anti-hero.

From IGN: "We sort of took a pretty strong choice on Deadpool, where we kind of stitched him up. And I love the character of Deadpool and I think that the sort of badass, fast-talking, funny, annoying Deadpool vs Wolverine would still be cool. We've sort of done it, but I think we could have done that much better."

Jackman allegedly heard that a script for a movie centered around Deadpool is making the rounds and feels that it will totally make sense for him to appear on screen again.

Meanwhile, Red Carpet News talked to Ryan Reynolds at a premiere, and reports that "Reynolds remains officially attached to the project but the lack of production news has left fans and apparently Reynolds himself frustrated.

Reaffirming his commitment to making the sword and gun wielding Deadpool movie happen Ryan confirmed simply that if it was up to him the film would already have happened. Time will tell whether or not Reynolds gets his dream role and fans will get to see the cult hero brought to life again."
