Windows 9 Release Date: Public Preview of Microsoft’s Rumored OS Happening On Q2 or Q3 2015 Alongside The Windows Phone 9?

Rumors about the Windows 9 release date, as well as the launch of Windows Phone 9 continue to circulate around the web. 

According to a post on WinBeta.org, Microsoft is rumored to have a public preview build of Windows 9. The recent news suggest that Windows 9 release date for the preview will happen at some point between the second or the third quarter of 2015, which translates to around February to March 2015. 

 If this pushes through,  consumers will be able to play with the new operating system before the official Windows 9 release date. Moreover, the Windows Phone 9 is also expected to arrive around the same release windows. 

Although Windows Phone 8.1 is still not widely available in the market, Microsoft is already expected to launch its Windows Phone 9 on early 2015. 

As posted on Trusted Reviews website, an internal Microsoft document was leaked hinting the planned preview release for both Windows Phone 9 and Windows 9 operating system around the aforementioned timeframe. The information came from a leaker known as "Faikee" who also recently dropped the Windows 365 name.

According to previous rumors, Windows 9 release date is set for April during the upcoming Microsoft Build Developer's Conference.

According to reports, Windows 9 could bring in changes to the Windows Defender, Metro UI, OneDrive, as well as Windows activation. 

Meanwhile, a post from tech.uk.msn cited WinSuperSite suggesting that the Windows 9 OS will be able to run the Windows Store apps on the desktop. Rumors also hinted that it will offer a mini start menu as well as a unifying app store. 

However, since all these details emerging about the Windows 9 and Windows Phone 9 release date are not yet official, tech fans are expected to take all these in with a grain of salt.
