Jessica Alba Hot In Spite Of Herself; Jessica Alba Comeback Makes Her a Summer Must

Jessica Alba is hot. There is no denying that. Jessica has played strong, sexy characters on-screen since she was a Dark Angel. But don't let that fool you. Alba is a prude who never slept her way through Hollywood.

Ushering in another hot summer as Entertainment Weekly's cover girl, Jessica Alba, is wearing a bikini that shows the star of Frank Miller's Sin City is still A Dame to Kill For.

Alba is coming back as stripper Nancy Callahan but Jessica explains "She was more naive in the first film. Ignorance was bliss," Alba says. "In this one there's no bliss and no ignorance. I wanted her to transition from being a victim to being someone who's in control of her own story."

That being said Jessica Alba may be good with a lasso but says "I'm a prude," who "never slept my way through Hollywood." Jessica Alba has no problem steaming up the screen but the wife and mother of two is no exhibitionist.

Alba told EW "Sex is absolutely what helps sell this movie, which is fine with me. I'm also playing a character when people are taking pictures of me. That's what I do, but it is not who I am."

Alba's spent less time on studio lots after she decided to focus on raising her children. Now she's back. With a vengeance in some of the movies. Besides "Frank Miller's Sin City: A Dame to Kill For," which hits theaters on August 22, Alba has four more movies about to drop. Entertainment Weekly says Jessica Alba is a Summer Must.

But she reminds the readers ''I never slept my way through Hollywood, so I never felt like I compromised. Apparently people do it, I didn't. I felt like I never compromised myself because I'm a prude. I don't know. I grew up Catholic. In my head I'm always thinking, 'Oh God, can my grandma see this?' "

Alba never saw all the fuss. She certainly didn't see herself the sex symbol the world saw her as. "I didn't have a lot of experience, so at first it was all kinds of weird," Alba told EW. "I'm kind of a prude, and I didn't really understand. They would always ask me provocative questions about my sexuality, my this or that. Sometimes I would lie and say something that wasn't true to make myself seem more interesting than I was."

And don't get Alba started on those shoes. She admits "I didn't even know how to walk in heels until I went to the Golden Globes for the first time."

When she's not acting Alba runs Honest Company and raises her daughters Honor, who will turn 6 next month, and Haven, who is two and a half, with her husband Cash Warren.
