iOS 7.1.2 Release Date Happening Before The First iOS 8 Beta Launch? Update Expected To Fix iMessage Problems

iOS 7.1.2 release date may be happening soon, according to the latest reports.

A post on Product-Reviews.net cited the possibility that iOS 7.1.2 release date may be set for before the launching of the first beta version of the iOS 8. If this information pushes through, iOS 7.1.2 release date can happen any day soon, as the iOS 8 beta 1 is expected  to arrive on June 2 - 3, right after Apple's 2014 Worldwide Developer Conference keynote address.

Apple has not yet revealed any official confirmation about the iOS 7.1.2 release date but the rumors intensified after a post on MacRumors forum page noted that the firmware update has been hinted at recent statements from Apple.

Accordingly, some Apple devices running iOS 7.1.2 have been showing up MacRumors web log. However, the activity is still low, which most likely means that the iOS 7.1.2 update is still in its early stages of testing.

Although details about the iOS 7.1.2 have been very scarce, the software update is expected to bring in bug fixes and tweaks, instead of offering additional features.

One of the two issues likely to be fixed is the problem experienced on iMessage. As reported on Christian Post, the iMessage glitch started from users "losing messages when they switch away from the iPhone to a different device and not having their phone numbers disassociated from iMessage." Reportedly, the iMessage issue has already gotten worse because of server problems.

Furthermore, another  issue reported by users is the email attachment encryption problem, which was discovered a weeks ago. According to Apple, they are aware of the problem and a fix for it will be included in a "future software update," which could probably be the rumored iOS 7.1.2.
