Top Android Phones 2014: Lenovo's Vibe Z2 Pro Could Be At The Top Of Android Food Chain When It Goes Official

Lenovo may not have one of the top Android phones for 2014 in the market, but the Chinese manufacturer may have been aiming for that spot while it was developing its new high-end smartphone.

According to a report by GSM Arena, Lenovo's upcoming flagship, dubbed as VIbe Z2 Pro has recently appeared in the wild, together with some rumored specs.

In the report, the Vibe Z2 Pro is said to pack a whopping 6-inch display with QHD or 2K ( 2560 x 1440) resolution for a pixel density of 490ppi. The smartphone will also be super thin at only 7.7mm, though with a plastic design that could be a problem for clumsy people.

Some of the specs of the Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro include a quad-core CPU which runs at 2.5GHz for superior processing power, a Snapdragon 801 chipset which directly rivals the best in the market today, a 2GB RAM for great multi-tasking capabilities and Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat out of the box.

In the report, the device will also pack 4G LTE connectivity, NFC and the usual Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support.

On the camera department, the Lenovo made handset is said to get a 16MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) for better camera shots. Unfortunately, there are no details about the front-facing cam as well as storage info.

The Android-powered smartphone willl run on a huge 4,000mAh battery which can easily last for more than a day with moderate use.

If you are already betting on this smartphone, you may want to be more patient with Lenovo as no further details regarding pricing and availability have been revealed.

However, rest assured that this fine piece of tech from Lenovo would be on the cheaper side of Android flagships, as it could be one of the device's primary selling points to take on the competition.
