LG G Flex 2 With Flexible Design Getting Released Next Year, Korean Manufacturer Confirms

More than several thousand of people were surprised when LG and Samsung started the curved phone wars later last year. However, LG's G Flex was the clear winner with its ergonomically shaped smartphone that fits the face of the user during calls.

Another advantage of the original G Flex against the Samsung Galaxy Round was its 'truly' flexible build. While the Galaxy Round is a curved smartphone on its sides, it does not flex but simply 'rocks' like a rocking chair though we have to admit that the functions which go with it look cool.

For the LG G Flex, the screen, parts except from the battery are flexible. In several demo videos, the LG G Flex is usually placed on a flat surface where it would be pushed against the surface until both the top and bottom parts of the device touch the surface.

Once the pressure is taken away, the smartphone will just return to its original posture.

During the press launch of the LG G3, the manufacturer announced that a successor to the G Flex 2 is currently under development and should be ready by next year.

In the report, the company is reportedly preparing something new to bring to the table aside from the flexible display and the self-healing back cover. The smartphone is slated to hit the market in Q1 in 2015.

In addition, LG's Vu 4 phablet would also make its way in stores by that time as well.

LG is really trying its best to keep up with Samsung's barrage of smartphone releases, and it aims to do better by releasing higher quality handsets with unique designs.
