Iggy Azalea New Single `Fancy' Matches Beatles Record; Iggy Azalea First Woman Rapper To Hit Top Two Spots

Iggy Azalea topped the Hot 100 with her new single "Fancy." The singer matched the Beatles for a chart record.

Iggy Azalea not only has she scored her first number one single with on the Billboard Hot 100 with Charli XCX-assisted phenomenon "Fancy" she is the first act since The Beatles to have her first two chart entries rank at Number 1 and Number 2 because she is also featured on Ariana Grande's new single "Problem", which came in at the second slot.

The Australian singer took to twitter to say "Well I'm very pleased, last year seemed impossible to convince anyone in the music business I could break into the top 100. Haha."

Pharrell Williams hit the top two spots last year, when he was featued on both Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" and Daft Punk's "Get Lucky."  Azalea is only the third female artist to reach the heights since Mariah Carey shattered recods with "We Belong Together" and "Shake It Off" in 2005 and Ashanti hit the top two slots with "Foolish" and Fat Joe's "What's Luv?" in 2002).
