Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Release Date, Rumors: Upcoming Android Phablet Allegedly Getting Fingerprint Scanner, Water Resistance, Download Booster As Well

There are no official Samsung Galaxy Note 4 release date details just yet, but that does not mean rumors won't come in, especially from our trusted sources.

According to a recent report by Android Authority, the new generation of the Samsung phablet will have several new key features, says leaker of everything Samsung, SamMobile

In the report by both Android Authority and GSM Arena, the world's most loved phablet device will get a much improved fingerprint scanning technology that would allow users to customize certain apps and functions that would launch based on the fingerprint.

If this tells us something, it is that the Korean tech giant will not be abandoning the fingerprint feature department any time soon. Since Apple launched Touch ID in its iPhone 5s last year, companies like Samsung are also trying their best to integrate the best features and functions that this kind of technology has to offer.

SamMobile also reports that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 would get a 'Swipe to Launch Motion Launcher', which would allow smartphone owners to make certain swipes or taps on the device's screens to 'make' commands. Such features would help owners use the device more easily.

Finally, the SamMobile post claims that the new generation Galaxy Note device would get a an 'Aqua Mode' feature, as well as a 'Multi Network Booster'. Aqua mode enables the device to take snapshots even from under the water, which means its water-resistance capabilities is superior to the Galaxy S5 and can be compared to the previous generation Galaxy S4 Active.

Meanwhile, the other function could simply be a download booster just like what the Galaxy S5 sports at the moment.

Other rumored specs of the Galaxy Note 4 include a 5.7 or 5.9-inch display with QHD resolution, Snapdragon 801 chip, 3GB of RAM and a 16MP or 20MP camera. The Android-powered device is expected to make its debut at the IFA event in Berlin this September.
