Upcoming Samsung Phones 2014: Galaxy Mega 7.0 Phablet Spotted, Boasts Super Slim Frame, Expected To Get Affordable Price Tag

Even after announcing an army of smartphones earlier this year, including its flagship the Galaxy S5, Korean tech giant Samsung is not at all satisfied. And currently, it is still working on other devices ranging from entry-level to monstrosity category - at least in the display size detail.

According to a recent report by GSM Arena, a gigantic Android powered Samsung device appeared in alleged press images, and seeing it for the firs time, we are immediately confused whether we would call it a smartphone or a tablet.

Standing at 7 inches tall, the display size of the Samsung Galaxy Mega 7.0 is just astounding. Holding a 5.7-incher Galaxy Note 3 is already troublesome for people with small hands. What more if we add more than an inch in it?

Unfortunately, that is all there is to know about the Android running phablet as further details in specs such as display resolution, size of RAM and chipset in use are not yet available.

However, one thing is for sure - the Samsung Galaxy Mega 7.0 design looks neat and premium, in spite the expected affordable price tag.

Last year, the Galaxy Mega family became Samsung's answer to Android fans who want a bigger smartphone but do not want to get the bigger financial burden that often goes with it. When the Korean company launched the first Galaxy Mega 5.8 and 6.3 last year, it became a hit right away, especially in emerging markets.

While going bigger isn't always better, Samsung may still have the right motive in upsizing its Mega phablet to 7 inches, certainly already within the tablet category.

As mentioned earlier, the Mega lineup is aimed at budget-conscious consumers who want to get the most out of their devices. And they would certainly get a bang for their buck in this smartphone-and-tablet-in-one device.
