Katharine McPhee Nick Cokas Divorce: Katherine McPhee didn't cheat on her husband, Nick Cokas. Katharine McPhee and Nick Cokas were separated when she made out with Michael Morris, the director of the movie "Smash."  Katharine McPhee has filed for divorce from Nick Cokas. Some people thought McPhee and Cokas were divorced already because they have been separated for a year. Katharine McPhee and Nick Cokas were separated at the time of the Katharine McPhee kissing scandal.

Katherine McPhee and Nick Cokas initially split up on March 15, 2013. The Katherine McPhee cheating scandal, when she was caught kissing Smash director Michael Morris, didn't happen until in October 2013.McPhee was caught on camera kissing her "Smash" director, Michael Morris. Morris is married to the actress Mary McCormack. A source told People magazine that the split has nothing to do with the controversial pictures. 

Katharine McPhee filed for divorce from her husband of six years Nick Cokas. American Idol star Katharine McPhee couldn't make it work out.

McPhee and Cokas publicly attempted to get back together this past March. Katharine McPhee has been unable to reconcile with her husband after a year of separation. McPhee, 30, and Cokas, 49, were reportedly working on their marriage as recently as March. They have no children together.

According to multiple reports, the Smash star and Nick Cokas are officially divorcing after the Katharine McPhee Cheating Scandal of 2014. Some publications are also speculating that the divorce stemmed from Katherine McPhee and Nick Cokas' age difference. Cokas and McPhee were reportedly working on their marriage back in March.

This isn't a good year for McPhee, the divorce filing comes not too long after her show got cancelled. McPhee will stars on CBS' upcoming drama "Scorpion."

Katharine McPhee'a self-titled debut album was released on RCA Records on January 30, 2007 and debuted at number two on the Billboard 200. Her latest album is expected to be released in early 2014 under Columbia Records
