Minecraft Xbox One and PS4 versions are expected to "support a taller build limit that makes room for players to stack blocks higher in the sky," as posted on Examiner.com. Furthermore, the new-generation versions of Minecraft will feature improved draw distances.

Xbox One and PS4 editions of Minecraft are expected to be 36 times bigger than the map sizes of the Xbox 360 and PS3 version of the game.

Aside from the bigger worlds, Minecraft fans will also have the chance to import saves from PS3 to PS4 or from Xbox 360 to Xbox One. The Examiner post reads, "Eventually, the game will automatically resize the old game worlds to accommodate the new larger maps."

As for other Minecraft Xbox One edition update, fans of the sandbox open-world game can expect new achievements once the new versions arrive. As reported on Air Herald, the latest gameplay footage of Survival Model for Minecraft Xbox One edition features several of the old achievements, together with the new ones.

Minecraft Xbox One Edition and PS4 Edition is expected to arrive this August, although there is no specific release date revealed yet. Aside from these new-gen console versions, the PS Vita edition of the game will also be available.
