'The Flash' On The CW Leaked Episode 1: [SPOILERS] Cameos From Other Justice League Characters Expected (Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman) [PHOTO]
A media preview of the episode - which stars Glee actor Grant Gustin in the title role - was leaked online earlier this week and it contains some huge spoilers, which have got superhero fans buzzing.
In the pilot, a child, Barry Allen witnesses his mother's murder but is spirited away from the scene by a mysterious red and gold lightning flash. His dad has been framed and is in prison.
Fast forward a decade or so and adult Barry is a crime scene investigator who is always running, until he's put in a coma following a lightning strike.
Waking up from his coma he discovers that he has the ability to move at a superhuman speed, and well, "The Flash" is born. In the final moments of the episode there's a twist with one of the characters reading a newspaper from 2024 with the headline: "Flash missing: Vanishes in crisis".
Some fans have taken that to mean that the show will delve into the Infinite Crisis storyline from the comics which would potentially mean that the other members of the Justice League - namely Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman - would appear in the show.
The newspaper frontpage also features the loaded news item of: "WAYNE TECH/QUEEN INC MERGER COMPLETE". Could this be a further hint of a Green Arrow and Flash inclusion in the upcoming Justice League movie?
It was previously reported that Warner Bros was lining up a Flash/Green Lantern crossover movie for 2016 as part of a series of new developments designed to knock of Marvel's Avengers off the superhero throne.
The Flash will debut on The CW on Tuesday October 7 at 8pm EST
