Star Wars 7 Casting Rumors: ‘Mission Impossible 5’ Star Tom Cruise Doing A Cameo; ‘No Truth’ & ‘Pure Fiction,’ Says Cruise’s Reps

Following the official announcement of Star Wars episode 7 cast, J.J. Abrams and Lucasfilm remain tight lipped about who are the additional actors appearing for the highly anticipated scifi cult movie, thus rumors and speculations are actively circulating in the internet.

Rumor has it that "Mission Impossible 5" star Tom Cruise will be appearing for a cameo in the film and that he and director Abrams have already met in London to talk about the role.

The infamous gossip publication, Sun claims that, "Tom has been in London for over a week and met up with JJ and some other people from Star Wars over the weekend. On Saturday evening, five of them met up for dinner and drinks at the Belgravia Hotel. JJ produced M:I5 and loves working with Tom whenever he gets the chance."

While, Cruise and Abrams have previously worked together on M:I3, spokesperson for Cruise vehemently denies the Star Wars 7 casting rumors, telling Entertainment Tonight Canada that there were "no truth" to the rumors and called the article published by Sun "pure fiction."

"We are so excited to finally share the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII," director J.J. Abrams says. "It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again. We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud."

 In other news, some Star Wars 7 casting rumors claim that Harrison Ford who plays Han Solo will be out for eight weeks due to ankle injury during shooting.

Reports that Harrison Ford injured his ankle on the set got everyone fear of a possible filming delay, with that Star Wars bosses are reportedly afraid that Ford would have to miss up to eight weeks of shooting to mend his injury.

According to Mirror.co.uk, the doctors have confirmed that the original Indiana Jones has indeed broken his ankle, however news about a pelvic injury were not confirmed and he is expected to leave the hospital anytime soon.

Adding, that his wife Calista Flockhart is on her way to UK to tend to her husband's fast recovery.

Star Wars bosses on the other hand are busy with the rescheduling to avoid unnecessary setbacks.

According to a source close to the situation, "The initial day or two after the accident it was hard to move things around but now we have had more time we can juggle things, bring some scenes forward and push others back. There are lots of other actors in the movie so it is not a disaster. We are still confident the film can stay on schedule.

"At the moment it looks like Harrison is going to be off set for 6-8 weeks but the main priority is making sure he is OK."

And while a spokesperson for Star Wars is "Hoping to announce some good news soon," previous Star Wars casting news rumors are confirmed.

"Star Wars Episode 7" will be released to theaters on Dec. 18, 2015.
