Chicago Bulls News: Rose, Noah, Gibson And Coach Thibs Talk To Melo

The latest Chicago Bulls news today comes from the short talk between free agent Carmelo Anthony and the Bulls squad, led by coach Tom Thibodeau.

In a report by Bleacher Report, several members of the Chicago Bulls which include Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah and Taj Gibson joined coach Thibodeau, Jerry Reinsdorf, Gar Forman and Scottie Pippen as they talked to Melo, hopefully getting his nod to move to the Windy City.

In the report, the Bulls management is really serious in getting Melo that all around the United Center are banners of invitation for the 30-year-old All Star.

For a proud Bulls franchise that is eager to regain the NBA title in the post-Jordan era, Anthony could be the answer to their prayers.

In the report, insider Alex Kennedy also reported that in spite Rose's earlier comments about not going to help out in the negotiation as it is 'not his job', the 2011 MVP went to a private workout to show Melo that he is ready to return and play at a high level next season.

For Anthony, playing with a healthy, passing and slashing Derrick Rose would surely be a great help for him as he would be able to get more open looks.

However, we should also consider that Melo also excels with the ball in his hands, so becoming second fiddle to the Bulls' franchise player can be a drawback for him.

After the meeting, the group brought Melo to the Peninsula Hotel in Chicago for dinner. Afterwards, reports from insiders claim that the Bulls management are confident that Anthony is now seriously considering their team for its new contract come the upcoming NBA season.
