NBA Free Agency Rumors 2014: Suns, Mavs, Rockets To Meet With James' Agent This Week, Lakers Also Expressed Interest In Getting 4-Time MVP

NBA Free Agency 2014 is now under way, and rumors about who will land who are already all over the news. But if you are a team that badly needs star power, then you definitely need to get 4-time MVP LeBron James who is currently an unrestricted free agent.

While James has opted out of his final year in Miami, the 29-year-old veteran will not make his decision right away, says sources close to the situation.

In a report by Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, James, together with teammates Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh will reportedly wait for general manager Pat Riley to lay out what he plans for the team. If the Heat management manages to build up Miami's roster to get a solid bench and role players, then the big three can still return just in time for the upcoming NBA season.

Meanwhile, it looks like Riley already has his eyes set for a number of free agents to start the rebuilding, but it's difficult to think that even he might still be uncertain that the big three will be returning. Some prospects for the Heat include Pau Gasol and Luol Deng, which could both fit the starting lineup for Miami.

But as for now, it is the Suns, Rockets and Mavericks who would be meeting with James' agent Rich Paul in Cleveland this week. In the report, James would not join any of the meetings.

As arguably the best professional basketball player on the planet, much clamor is given to James's decision to pursue free agency and opt out of his final year in Miami. The decision followed after he said following the loss to the Spurs in the Finals that the team really needs rebuilding.

For the Miami Heat, winning the championship twice in a row could have made the management complacent that the current roster is enough to win a third straight title. However, teams all over the NBA are getting better and better, slowly closing the gap between them and the 2012 and 2013 NBA champions.

And last month, at least one team has surpassed Miami's Big Three, and with flying colors.
