Christina Aguilera purportedly was put back on "The Voice" to stop some brewing drama. Rumors abound now though that the "Dirrty" singer herself was already causing drama on the early days of season 10.
According to an item on InTouch Weekly, the "Dirrty" singer has reportedly been very demanding on set and the crew has been having a hard time dealing with her. She apparently has also been causing some tension on her own.
"Christina is a nightmare," a source told OK! magazine.
As told by a Page Six source, some of the crew on "The Voice" wanted Gwen Stefani to stay for season 10 instead of Christina Aguilera coming back.
"When Gwen took over, she instantly became a favorite," the insider explained to the source above. "She injected energy and humor onto the panel."
This was not the first time that rumors circulated that the crew of the talent search show was not a fan of the "Dirrty" singer. Prior to the formal announcement that Gwen Stefani was taking over season 9, there were rumors as well of Aguilera's alleged "diva antics."
"She was really difficult to work with this season," a source spilled to Radar Online about Aguilera prior to the start of season 9. "Tensions between her and Adam [Levine] were consistent, but she also just had a really bad attitude. She showed up late a lot, took forever for hair and makeup and was just very demanding."
"She just thinks that she is the reason the show is still on and that it should revolve around her," the source added. "Her act is getting old."
Both Christina Aguilera and NBC have yet to address the drama rumors as well as the concern of the crew for "The Voice" season 10. But after it was announced that she was coming back, NBC executives said in a statement that they were excited. The singer, meanwhile, took to Twitter to express her joy.
"Get ready boys... mama's comin' back," she wrote.
