Quantic Dream 'Detroit' Release Date Not Confirmed Yet, The Next PS4 Exclusive Is All About The Androids

Quantic Dream “Detroit” release date is still uncertain.

Quantic Dream “Detroit: Becoming Human” released a teaser on the Playstation Youtube Channel.

The opening of the teaser began with the scenery of Detroit and a voice narrating her story. The main protagonist is a female AI or Artificially Intelligent android living in the midst of humans and on the journey to become more “human.”

The graphics are definitely a sight to behold. It looks so realistic that at first glance the futuristic world could be mistaken for footage taken in real life. Even the way the humans were created looked like they were designed so meticulously they’re almost real. Computer graphics are definitely one reason to look forward to Quantic Dream’s “Detroit” release date.

According to Polygon, the game carried the tagline “Become Human” as the story focuses on what happens when Kara, an android, leaves her factory and explores a life beyond what she was originally built for.

Designer David Cage wanted the game to explore the question “What does it mean to be human?”

"We didn't want to do another story on AI (there are already so many great ones),” said Cage on VC Post. “We wanted to talk about what it means to be human and what it would be like to be in the shoes of an android discovering our world and their own emotion."

If Kara looks familiar, that’s because she was featured in a PS3 tech demo called “Kara” that was released by Playstation in 2013. Playstation Blog reported that the short video was about an android that discovered that she could feel emotions. Many were moved by Kara’s wish to live when she was getting taken apart for being “defective.”

The Quantic Dream “Detroit” release date has not been announced yet.
