Mike Fisher's wife, Carrie Underwood, was not afraid to tackle the issue of divorce amid nonstop celebrity couple news of heading for splitsville.
As reported by Us Weekly, the country singer insisted it was all good in the Underwood-Fisher household despite these past summer of divorces.
"Everyone is getting divorced," she told Cosmopolitan magazine as quoted by the source above. "They're dropping like flies! But we are good."
The "Before He Cheats" singer even added that their already "established" careers may be one of the secrets to their lasting marriage as they were already confident with themselves before getting married.
"It helped that we were both established before we were married," she explained. "Neither one of us could be like, 'I didn't know it would be like this!'"
Earlier this year though when friends Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert divorced, Carrie Underwood did admit that she has exerted extra effort in her marriage to Mike Fisher.
"It makes you want to take stock of your own marriage," the "Before He Cheats" singer pointed out to People magazine. "Like, 'What do you need? Are you happy? What can I do to make things better?'"
"Definitely, yeah," she also said about getting into counselling if a day did come that they'd need it. "We've never done it, but even if you don't necessarily quote-unquote think you 'need' it, it might just be good to have that space to talk things out."
At the same time of the Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton's divorce, it was also rumored that the "Before He Cheats" singer and her husband were having marriage troubles. They reportedly have been arguing about having more kids as reported by Starpulse. Though Underwood, did not address the rumor then, it seemed she has quashed it now with an update on her marriage.
Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher got married in July 2010 in Georgia in the company of close family and friends. They had son, Isaiah Michael, in February.
