Adele has been the talk of the town since the announcement of her new music. But it purportedly seemed once singer was not happy with all the attention -- Taylor Swift.
In an item on Celeb Dirty Laundry, it was mentioned that the "Style" singer has seemingly gotten "jealous" of the "Hello" singer's comeback as she soon skyrocketed her way to the charts that used to be occupied by the pop-country singer.
The report even mentioned that Swift has apparently been taking down Tumblr accounts that continue to commend "Hello" after one fan took a jibe at the "Style" singer and accused her and her team of such act. SugarScape claimed though that the speculation would be impossible as the pop star doesn't even work at the social media company.
While the Tumblr deletion rumors seemed untrue, one thing that has been confirmed was that Adele has bumped off Taylor Swift on her single-day VEVO view record. As reported by Entertainment Weekly, "Bad Blood" held a 20.1 million single-day VEVO view record when it was released early this year. But as soon as "Hello" was released, it immediately got 27.7 million views in a day.
Swift has yet to speak up on the speculation and rumors she's been dragged into. But on Sunday, she did retweet another feat in her career. As told by Billboard, her "1989" album has been included in the "Albums With Most Weeks in Billboard 200 Top 10 From Debut." "1989" is the fifth album to be included in the honor.
Amid recent rumors involving Adele and Taylor Swift, the "Hello" singer also got something to say about the "Style" singer and her squad.
"I've heard about a squad," the Grammy-winning singer told Rolling Stone. "I wish my squad was all supermodels. We are, in our brains. I guess I have my own squad."
"It's not as interesting as some of the other squads that are around right now," she added. "But maybe Rihanna can be in my squad! That would be really cool. Oh, God. She's life itself, isn't she? I love her."
Despite claims that the statement was like throwing shade at the pop-country star, The Hollywood Gossip purported the British singer was saying it in jest.
