Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton were ready to show off their new romance shortly after making the big reveal prior to the 2015 Country Music Awards.
As reported by Entertainment Tonight, the new couple and "The Voice" judges were spotted and pictured holding hands as they spent some quality time in Nashville, Tennessee. The report also said that after playing coy on rumors about them dating, the country star and No Doubt singer seemed to have turned around with the display of their romance.
The PDA sighting happened just hours after it was confirmed by the No Doubt singer's representative that the "The Voice" judges were indeed dating.
"Gwen and Blake are longtime friends who have very recently started dating," her rep told Us Weekly.
Shelton's rep also confirmed the news to E! Online.
The Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton coming out happened just at the same time that the country singer and ex-wife Miranda Lambert attended the 2015 Country Music Awards since announcing their divorce early this year.
While TMZ reported that the announcement was "carefully timed," Fox News collated fan reactions of the news and wondered if it was done at the wrong time.
"This is definitely a mess in the making," pop culture expert Cate Meighan told the source above. "I think people are all over the fact that Stefani's reps confirmed [Wednesday] as they hit the red carpet. It almost looked purposeful."
One fan even commented that it looked like the "The Voice" pair was rubbing their new relationship into Miranda Lambert's face.
But while fans showed some concern for Miranda Lambert, the 2015 Country Music Awards Female Vocalist of the Year "doesn't care" about the dating news at all. Instead, she counted the good things that have happened to her over the bad.
"Today was a day spent reflecting on this amazing life that Nashville and country music fans have given me," she posted on Instragram as cited by E! Online amid the Gwen Stefani Blake Shelton dating news. "And my friends. I'm so grateful."
