'Friday The 13th: The Game' Previews Camp Crystal Lake Video, Kickstarter Campaign In Need Of More Funds

“Friday The 13th: The Game” has a new video released.

“Friday the 13th” is a horror title that many are familiar with. The horror film was a cult hit, became a pop culture horror icon and an American horror franchise that spawned twelve slasher films and so much more. If the title doesn’t ring a bell then perhaps the film’s serial killer Jason Vorhees will.

Gun Media started a Kickstarter Campaign for “Friday the 13th: The Game,” where players are given the opportunity to choose between being Jason or a helpless camper that needs to survive the night.

“’Friday the 13th: The Game’ is a third-person, asymmetrical multiplayer title where one player controls Jason Voorhees while the remaining seven control camp counselors trying to survive the night,” according to Kickstarter.

“That's right...1v7 multiplayer set in the semi-open world of Camp Crystal Lake! It's a classic horror fan's dream, no shaky cam and no found footage. We want you to know we're revitalizing the golden era of slashers, and putting you at the controls of each horrific, blood-splattered moment.”

The “Friday the 13th: The Game” Kickstarter Campaign has one more week to go before it ends and they already have $634,343 from their 9,486 backers, but it is short of their $700,000 goal. It looks like they might be able to make it, but if they don’t get enough backers by next week then the promising project won’t be happening.

A new video of the “Friday the 13th: The Game” pre-alpha environment of Camp Crystal lake was uploaded on Gun Media’s Official Youtube Channel. It previewed the creepy camp environment where the killing spree of Jason Vorhees would ensue. If the environment wasn’t unsettling enough, the musical score definitely added to the eerie atmosphere.

Those who are interested in becoming backers to the game can donate on their Kickstarter campaign page.
