Christina Aguilera reportedly was taken back on "The Voice" to block the Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani romance news. But a recent report apparently revealed that the "Dirrty" singer may have already had an idea about the real deal between the judges even before they've gone public.
According to an item on TMZ, the country singer contacted the "Dirrty" singer a while back and said that he was crushing on the No Doubt singer. But Aguilera apparently was not confident that the country singer would get the girl.
"Ha, good luck with that," Aguilera reportedly said according to an insider of the source above.
While Christina Aguilera seemed to be on-the-loop about Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani even befor they broke the news that they were dating, the other members of the "The Voice" family were taken by surprise.
"I didn't know," "The Voice" host Carson Daly admitted on the "Today" show as cited by Us Weekly. "I didn't think Blake could get a girl hot as Gwen, to be honest. He's a goofy cowboy, she's the queen of cool. But God bless them, they're two of the nicest people in the business. We're thrilled that they're finding each other."
"I am not shocked after Halloween and the photos that came out," he added. "I was a little shocked last night to hear Gwen's people put out an official thing."
Adam Levine also showed some love for the new couple.
"I love my friends and I support my friends through everything," he told "On Air With Ryan Seacrest. "I've been actually really enjoying getting to know Gwen better in the past two months."
The Christina Aguilera comeback news was announced prior to the official announcement of Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton's relationship. According to Celeb Dirty Laundry then, the new couple were already rumored to be dating and show executives were worried what their budding relationship might do to "The Voice."
