Fans Don’t Want Phil Collins To Come Back After New Album Reports?

A new album and a tour from Phil Collins might come out in the next year, but some of his former supporters are trying to say "No" about his return.

After a recent interview with the Rolling Stone, Phil Collins announced plans of a new album and a potential tour after revealing his intentions of "un-retiring" himself.

However, some fans are signing a petition to not let Phil Collins comeback in the music scene, after the reports of a new album came out.

"I'm no longer officially retired," Collins said. "The horse is out of the stable and I'm raring to go."

In a report by Consequence Of Sound, a number of said to be former supports of the singer started an online petition named "Phil Collins must be stopped."

The petition now has 3,500 supporters, which stated that "Phil Collins has announced he is 'no longer in retirement'. There is far too much suffering in the world as it is. This must be stopped."

Signees revealed their reasons why they signed the petition, who reacted after hearing the news that Phil Collins would return to the scene with a new album on its way.

"I cannot stand him or his music, he left the country but still want us to buy his music and provide the income for his tax avoidance," one signee said.

"If we don't stop this what's next?" another one stated. "Lighthouse Family, Toploader, Anita Dobson. It's bad enough Simply Red are back. Phil just because you need to finance another divorce don't come back bringing your one more night white noise lift music rubbish because we're not interested. You have made plenty of dough and even had a monkey playing drums advert so do the right thing for the people of the UK and get a part time job at B&Q if you need some extra cash."
If ever Phil Collins pushes through with his plans, the new album and tour plans may come in 2016.
