Fast & Furious 8 Movie Casting News: "Fast & Furious 8" might see Paul Walker's Brian O'Connor return to the driver's seat. The "Fast & Furious 7" sequel rumors began on news that Jordana Brewster might reprise her role as Mia Torreto, Dominic's (Vin Diesel) little sister.
Paul Walker died in a tragic car accident in the middle of production, in "Furious 7." Paul's brother Cody Walker took on the role in "Furious 7."
The late Paul Walker's character Brian O'Connor was given a clean exit in the final scene of "Furious 7". The final scene showed Brian O'Connor driving off in his white Toyota Supra on a separate road from his best friend Dominic Toretto.
In "Furious 7," O'Connor retire to spend time with his wife and son. The producers finished the movie with Cody as a body double and the use of computer-generated imagery.
But the 8th installment of the "Fast & Furious" franchise might see Walker's character return through flashbacks. According to Movie News Guide, the younger Walker is no longer on the roster for "Fast and Furious 8." Further rumors say the movie will use computer-generated imagery or CGI in order to bring Walker's character to life.
Crossmap confirmed that Michelle Rodriguez will reprise her role as Letty Ortiz-Toretto, Dom's wife. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will return as Agent Luke Hobbs of the Diplomatic Security Service. Jason Statham will continue playing Deckard Shaw. Kurt Russell will return as Mr. Nobody.
Diesel recently told MTV that Helen Mirren, who has expressed interest in joining Fast And Furious 8. should be careful what she wished for.
"They've gotta get in line behind Helen Mirren. She is on the list. Be careful what you wish for, Helen," he said.
Elijah Wood, Diesel's co-actor in "The Last Witch Hunter, expressed interest in playing Dominic Toretto's son in the new film.
